At 19 years old at the time, she debuted Here, her debut song. This song received praise equally from critics and listeners. It reached number 19 in both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the smash one of the best Songs of 2015. This year she released her debut album Know It All with the third single Scars to Your Beautiful being one of five original tracks that peaked at Billboard charts including those of the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. The song was unique because lots of people reacted to her interview with rapper the rapper Rap-Up on her journey to learn to love and admit to her. Cara's music is renowned for its messages of kindness self-love, self-love and mental wellness. Her music is an expression of her own personal struggles to deal with depression and insomnia. In a Reuters interview she describes her album as half-tumultuous and half mastered. She claims she has grown through therapy, and encourages those around her to seek assistance whenever needed. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th day of July 1996. The guitar was gifted to her by her parents before she turned 10 and this ignited her love for music. She began covering the songs she loved at 13 to prove to everyone that she was a singer with the abilities and determination necessary to be a singer. The cover she did, Sweater Weather, was the first thing that made her famous. EP Entertainment gave her an opportunity to develop and record her own tracks.
